Your membership in OFCA is critical because it helps to ensure that the organization speaks for as many resource families as possible in Ohio. In addition to becoming a member, there are other ways that you can get involved. The type of assistance we need includes:
- Participating on the OFCA Board
- Joining an OFCA Committee
- Hosting or organizing a fundraising activity
- Writing letters to policy makers supporting an OFCA policy position
- Encouraging other resource families that you know and encouraging them to become a member of OFCA
- Speaking before a legislative committee or at a press conference to represent resource families on a current issue
- Making a financialcontribution
- Encouraging your friends and relatives to make a donation to OFCA
- Assisting with the development of the annual OFCA conference
- Writing an article for the OFCA enews on a current topic of interest
- Encouraging the development of a local support group or regional association to support the parents in your area
- Become a fan of OFCA on Facebook and providing your input on issues facing resource families
- Educating yourself on issues and sharing the information with other OFCA membersIf you would like to learn more about becoming involved in one of the ways mentioned above or if you have a skill that you believe we could use, please contact us at office@ofcaonline.org
